Trial and Error

Dr. Agatston, the creator of the South Beach Diet, did say that there would be some trial and error along the way to see what satisfied you and what didn't.

With that said I definitely experienced the 'error' today.  First off I did not eat enough for breakfast which set me up for a doomed day from the get go.  I ended up eating both my snacks super early.  When lunch rolled around I was hungry once more thinking that what I had brought would 'fill' me.  Nope, wrong again.  Here it is after lunch and I am HUNGRY.  Is it cravings?  I don't think so and of coarse both of my snacks are gone.  I tried drinking water and that didn't help.  I solicited encouragement from friends to make it through the day but, alas I raided the snack box anyways.  After 2 Quaker snack bars and a string cheese I was somewhat satisfied.

What to have for dinner...  I found a SB friendly recipe for cheddar broccoli soup.  That I must say was quite tasty and after two bowls I am good to go.  My after dinner snack was a chocolate mint sugar free pudding.  For being sugar free it was not bad.  I think that the mint helps to eliminate the sucolose  aftertaste.

Tomorrow is another day and I hope that I have packed enough breakfast, lunch, and snacks (yes, I try to put my lunch together the night before) so that I do not have the hunger that I had today.

Wish me all success!
